Goods transport Spain
Goods transport Spain. Goods transport from Spain and to Spain. From Spain we transport automotive components, but we also
provide e.g. the transport of wine and textile.
The transport within the country is characterized by a wide network of roads, highways, railways including high-speed ones, airports and ports. The geographical position of Spain makes the state an important connecting road between Europe, Africa and both Americas. The majority of roads, highways, railways and other types of transport gets from Madrid to the centres of separate areas.
Bullfights or corrida de torros, abbreviated corrida, are one of Spanish symbols. Corrida is usually organised at the occasion of a feast or festival. The bullfighting season usually starts the festival Las Fallas which happens in Valence in the middle of March.
The bullfighting participants include a bull called toro and a professional fighter – torero. The fighter are divided into matadors, the main ones, picadors and banderilleros. The whole cohort (so called cuadrilla) consists of two picadors and three banderilleros. Bulls are kept in the fence called corral before a fight. Bullfights usually last for 2 to 2 and half hours and have their fixed rules. A bull is intentionally weakened before it enters the arena in order to reduce the risk for people – its sharp corns are filed down, Vaseline is put in its eyes in order to reduce its ability of orientation, sometimes sedatives are put in its food. A bull is closed in a box for long hours with no movement possible. It is beaten and irritated before it is let to the arena.
The country has the network of roads with the length of 346,858 km, 3,469 km of them are unpaved. The wide network of highways and express ways – together 14,689 km – puts the country to the top places in Europe in terms of highways.
